Kyseľ is a valley and a PLA covering an area of 950 ha. We can get to the Kyseľ valley from Spišská Nová Ves and Dedinky. The PLA is unique thanks to its waterfalls, rocky formations with abysses and plateaus.
In 1976, a large fire broke out at the mouth of the strait into Biele potok, which gradually engulfed the whole side on the left bank of Kyseľ. The fire destroyed more than 30 hectares of forest. For safety reasons, the ladders were dismantled in the gorge and only an alternative route leading to the part not affected by the fire - Malý and Velký Kyseľ - was accessible to the public. In 2016, the part affected by the fire was reopened in the form of a ferrate.
